Centre for Welfare Reform
The Centre is an independent research and development network which works to reform the current welfare state. Many of us now believe that the welfare state is a good thing, but that it is fundamentally flawed in its design. In particular, an effective welfare system should:
•Enable and promote active citizenship for all
•Encourage and strengthen family life
•Build stronger forms of community and a more vibrant civil society
